Programs
Sir (free) - A reverb device that
works with "impulse-responses". Impulse-responses are generated by
recording short broadband signals and their corresponding
room-reflections. What you get contains the information needed to
reproduce the same room with other signals.
BruteFIR (linux) is a software convolution
engine, a program for applying long FIR filters to multi-channel
digital audio, either offline or in realtime. Its basic operation is
specified through a configuration file, and filters, attenuation and
delay can be changed in runtime through a simple command line
interface. The FIR filter algorithm used is an optimised frequency
domain algorithm, partly implemented in hand-coded assembler, thus
throughput is extremely high. In realtime, a standard computer can
typically run more than 10 channels with more than 60000 filter taps
each.
Altiverb 5 (mac) is a convolution reverb
plug-in for Mac OS X. It uses top quality samples of real spaces to
create reverb, ranging from Sydney Opera House to the cabin of a fire
truck. Altiverb 5 offers the most extensive set of parameters, it
supports all plug-in formats on the Mac, parameter automation and
surround.
Pristine Space is a 8-channel convolution
processor. Each channel is independent of the others, making it
possible to use Pristine Space in various surround configurations. It
also allows the user to apply a `true stereo' kind of processing, where
each stereo channel uses its own reverb impulse (requiring 4
convolution channels in total). Sound designers and the like may find
Pristine Space's serial convolution processing feature (which allows
one to process the sound with several impulses in sequence) useful.
Pristine Space Light is a
functionally-reduced version of Pristine Space 8-channel convolution
processor audio plug-in. The Light version offers basically the same
functionality as can be found in Pristine Space except that it supports
stereo convolution processing only meaning you cannot do multi-channel
work or use more than 2-channel impulse responses.

(High Definition Impulse Response) models, providing acoustic

IR-360 is the a surround convolution
reverb that can be tweaked with familiar controls such as pre-delay,
room size, and density - controls that don't just filter the output,
but actually shape the underlying impulse response. IR-360 also lets
you capture your own impulse responses from spaces or devices. Included
in the IR-360 package is IR-1 for stereo application.
IR-1 V2, you get the actual captured
sound of the world's best venues and unmatched control using the
traditional parameters you??½re already familiar with. Plus, this new
version now lets you capture impulse responses from rooms or devices
yourself, and then modify the sound with the same flexible controls
used to alter the included impulse response samples.
IR-L is IR-1's light convolution reverb
version, offering the same great sound and impulse responses as IR-1
but with fewer controls for simpler, more efficient operation.
Impulse modeler - This tool will help you
to design your own room impulse responses ranging from small rooms to
large echo halls to small "intimate" cabinets to echoing soundscapes.
You have the opportunity to design materials and room's geometry.
Deconvolver offers a true mathematical FFT
deconvolution. True FFT deconvolution, Reversed test tone deconvolution
technique, Minimum-phase transform option, Reads 8, 16, 24, 32, 64 bit
PCM and IEEE WAV files, Built-in test tone generator, 64-bit processing
and more.
Convolver is a plugin for doing
realtime convolution using impulse responses from the user's hard
drive. The plugin has a built-in file browser, gain adjustment, and can
do high/low-pass filtering, which are applied to the impulse response
